4 staff members stand with awards

Three Oak Valley teachers received generous grants from the Huron Valley Education Foundation. Mr. Browne received funds to increase microscope capabilities, and add a component that will allow students to study objects and link them directly with chromebooks.  Students will have access to digital handheld microscopes that will transmit enhanced imaging onto existing district technology.  Mrs. Gorny received "Active Seating for Active Learners!" While students are in need of movement during the day, there are times when they are expected to be seated. The funds will provide class sets of wobble seats and chair kick-bands so that more students have access to active seating in the science classroom.  Mrs. Adams received funds for supplies for the Oak Valley Treat Truck, so that students in Mrs. Nicolay's class can practice social and sales skills. Twice a week, they use a cash register and speak with customers. Congratulations to all recipients! Many thanks to the HVEF!!
