In the 100m Backstroke, with a finish time for the ‘Finals’ swim of 47.95 seconds, Sam set a new PR for himself. His time puts him in the an “All American Automatic” cut. Winning this race really meant a lot to Sam, the competition from all the swimmers was great. He appreciates the fantastic support from his coaches and teammates motivated him to do his best. He was the only Oakland County swimmer to win an individual title. He also swam the 200 freestyle placing 4th overall with a time of 1:38.28 dropping 2.41 seconds from his best time. The HVS combined team rated 16/36 Division 1 teams.
