Career Exploration

Oak Valley Middle School students will be doing several assignments related to Career Exploration. In 6th and 7th grade, students will log onto Career Cruising and begin to study their career interests. Every student will have this opportunity in middle school.

In 8th grade, students will complete their EDP (Educational Development Plan) with their middle school counselors. Those EDP plans list a student’s goals, career pathway of choice, and list the student’s educational plans for 9th grade. Once completed, those EDP plans will be sent to the high schools. Students have an opportunity each year to edit their EDP using the Career Cruising software.
