Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

Huron Valley Schools continues to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Michigan, the U.S. and throughout the world.

On April 2, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an Executive Order suspending in-person education of K-12 students  through the end of the 2019-20 school year.  Read the full text of the Executive Order below.

The list of resources below is designed to help during your time at home. Here, you can see communications from Superintendent Dr. Paul Salah, check meal distribution times and locations and utilize many available learning resources and more.

Grab & Go Student Meals

Many students depend on our schools to provide breakfast and lunch. Working with the USDA and Michigan Department of Education, HVS has identified multiple sites for families to access free “grab and go” food supplies throughout this extended period of closure.

Learning Resources

All Huron Valley students are receiving information from teachers on a weekly basis. To contact your child's teacher, visit the Staff Directory to send them an email. 

General learning resources are available here for all grade levels.

Chromebook distribution

If you have not yet completed the survey and need a Chromebook in order for your student(s) to connect with teachers and complete assignments, please fill it out now by clicking here. Paper surveys are available at all of our food distribution sites on Saturday, April 4. The survey will be open until 9 a.m., Monday, April 6. Pick up next week will be Thursday, April 9 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Milford and Lakeland high schools
