In January 2005, Governor Granholm approved legislation that created the new Michigan Merit Examination. This series of tests, including the ACT, replaces the State of Michigan's MEAP - High School Test that was administered to all eleventh grade students. The Michigan Merit Examination (MME) provides a unique opportunity for all students in the State of Michigan to receive a free ACT test. The results from this test can be used for admission to any public university or college in the State and many colleges and universities out-of-state.
Testing will take place in March. All 11th Grade Huron Valley Schools students are required to take this test as part of the district's graduation requirements.
This website is designed to help consolidate information in one place for parents and students as they prepare for the MME.
