Get to know the Lakeland High School Counselors!
The Lakeland Counselors were the first counseling department in the State of Michigan to receive the Recognized American School Counselor Association Model Program (R.A.M.P.) award back in 2011. We must apply every 3 years for this distinction and we since received the R.A.M.P. award for a second time in 2014. This is a national recognition for counseling departments that exhibit excellence while following the American School Counselor Association National Model (our curriculum). We have presented at the Michigan School Counselor Association statewide conference on three occasions to encourage school counselors throughout the state to improve their counseling programs.
Each of the Lakeland Counselors carries a caseload of just under 400 students each. We work to help our students in their academic, personal/social, and career/college development. Check out our personal counselor pages to learn more about us and also areas that we specialize in for Lakeland High School.
