College Night 2012 : Join us on October 24th, 2012 from 6:30-8:00pm at Milford High School for College Night. There will be representatives from colleges, universities, community colleges, vocational schools, financial aid institutions, and the military. This is a great opportunity for parents and students to learn about many different post-secondary options at one time.
Career Cruising : Every year, students of all grade levels will need to update their Educational Development Plans through Career Cruising. Students can get their Career Cruising login information to access their EDP on their own time from Mrs. Ouellette in the Career Center.
2012-2013 College Visits : College representatives visit Lakeland High School throughout the year. Junior and senior students are welcome to sign up ahead of time to attend these sessions. Students must get a pass from the Career Center at least a day ahead of time.
Peer Tutoring : Beginning at the end of Term 1. National Honor Society students are available for peer tutoring support in the Career Center. Tutoring is available Tuesdays during all lunches, Wednesdays during seminar, and Thursdays after school. Students must sign up in the Career Center at least a day ahead of time.
ASVAB Test : The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery was originally designed to predict future academic and occupational success in military occupations. The ASVAB now incorporates a career exploration and planning program that uses your ASVAB results to help explore the world of work. ASVAB testing takes place in March each year.
