Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations where students from different schools represent different countries and work together to create resolution to the world's problems. The goal of the Model UN program is to increase international understanding and develop the art of peaceful negotiation among high school students. Students are assigned a country and take on roles as foreign diplomats that they will represent in a simulated General Assembly session. Participants meet, investigate international issues, caucus, prepare policy papers, debate, and draft and vote on resolutions. Students from different schools work together to develop solutions to the problems that they are assigned.
