Oxbow Parent Council (OPC)

OPC ByLaws

The Oxbow Parent Council is an organized group of parents and teachers working together to provide the best overall educational experience for our children.The fundraisers we ask our students and their families to participate in support a variety of programs throughout the year.  For example, the funds we generate are used to pay for school supplies, teacher supplies, playground equipment, student scholarships for field trips, books and educational software, student planners, phone directories, assemblies, physical education equipment, art  supplies, music materials, speakers and programs on various topics related to parenting and keeping children safe, and books and computer software. Our fundraising efforts also provide services that enhance the school morale. These include staff appreciation events, a Holiday Shop, the Christmas Gift Tree, Fun Run, monthly newsletters,  winter clothes drive, a recycling center, Toys for Tots, Market Day, Fifth Grade Camp, landscaping projects, classroom parties, and student rewards.Volunteer effort is essential, and extremely appreciated by the OPC!  This “team” effort is responsible for the positive environment at Oxbow, making this a unique school of which we can all be proud!
