Johnson Elementary uses Payschools for the following programs.
5th Grade Camp
Each year, our fifth graders are provided - at a cost - an opportunity to attend a three day, two-night 5th grade camping experience at Camp Copneconic. Here, students have are able to develop and apply the '4Cs' of 21st Century Learning: creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Students have opportunities to engage in real-life experiences that incorporate their learnings of nature, animal kingdom, geography, geology, and other science related curricula as well as further hone their leadership skills - specifically incorporating the 7 Habits (we are a Leader in Me School) of Highly Effective People into real-world scenarios. Most of all, the students bond with one another and their teachers, as well as...have fun!

Leader in Me
The Leader in Me is a whole-school transformation model that acts like the operating system of a computer. It improves the performance of all other programs. Based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The Leader in Me equips students with the self-confidence and skills they need to thrive in the 21st-century. More so, it teaches and encourages students to be responsible, show initiative, be creative, set goals and meet them, get along with people of various backgrounds and cultures, resolve conflicts, and solve problems. Said another way, through the Leader in Me program, we at Johnson Elementary are committed to growing leaders!
