Students at Heritage celebrated Leadership Day on April 12, 2012. More than 60 educators and community members from across Michigan attended to see how we are a Leadership school. For the event, each student had a special part. Some students were interviewed to ask them about their thoughts. What I Like about Being a Covey School
On February 1, we were honored to have Sean Covey visit our school! He graciously spent an hour visiting classrooms and presenting at our Community Circle. What an honor. Watch the video below from the day he visted us.
As A Leader in Me School, Heritage Elementary is focused on developing leadership within our students. Students will explore and practice the leadership principles in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. The Leader in Me schools have received national recognition for their work in focusing on building student leadership. At Heritage, we are proud to be a part of that community. On February 1, Heritage was honored with a visit from Sean Covey. Mr. Covey met with students, spoke with the student population, and had the privilege of hearing our Kindergarteners sing! We are thrilled Mr. Covey could visit us.
