1. Does my child have his/her own Student Access account?

Yes. Your child's login ID is their alpha namekey (the first five letters of his/her last name, the first three letters of his/her first name, and a 3 digit number). Their password is their food service pin number. To lookup your child's ID and password, login to family access, click on the report directory link then click on the 'food service pin number list'. Your child's food service pin number and alpha namekey will be displayed.

2. How secure is my child's information?

Family Access is password and user name protected. Parents establish their passwords and are responsible for keeping their password and user name confidential. It is suggested that passwords be changed regularly. In addition, Huron Valley Schools has implemented strong encryption technology (SSL) that protects all data transmitted between your web browser and our web server. All student data is stored behind a redundant Cisco PIX firewall.

3. I do not know my child's food service pin number. Where can I find it?

To lookup your child's food service pin number, log into Family Access, click on the report directory link then click on the 'food service pin number list'. Your child's food service pin number will be displayed.

4. Who do I contact if I have a question regarding my child's food service account?

Questions regarding elementary students should be directed to the district's Food Service Department at 248-684-8054. Questions regarding middle and high school students should be directed to your child's school cafeteria manager.

5. Who do I contact if I forget my password?

Parents and employees can reset their password by using their email address or user name. If it matches the email or user name the district has on file, you will be sent an email containing your login and a link that can be used to reset your password. If you do not receive the email call the hotline or email us.

Note: Students cannot reset their Student Access password.

6. Who do I contact to correct my child's demographic information?

Please contact your child's school.

7. How do I change my password and/or email address?

To change your password and/or email address in Family Access, you need to login to Family Access . Once you are at the main screen, please click the 'Account Info' button in the upper right corner of the screen. You will be required to provide your current password when changing your password.

8. Why is my high school student's 6th card marking grade(s) showing when the school year hasn't ended yet?

Due to the fact that seniors graduate early, their grades get posted early. If your student is a senior, the grades should be accurate.  If your student is not a senior, but is in a class with seniors, your student's final grade will not be accurate until after the last day of school and the teacher posts final grades for the rest of the class. This only occurs at the end of the school year.

9. Why is a missing assignment shown when I know my student turned it in?

A missing assignment shows if the due date of the assignment plus five (5) weekdays have passed and the teacher has not yet input a grade; therefore, an assignment may or may not actually be missing.

10. Where do I make a credit card payment for my child's lunch account?

Parents must login to Family Access (a link is located on the Huron Valley website under quick links). A ‘make online payment' button is available under the food service link.

11. How do I get a Family Access login and password?

Please fill out the Google FormsFamily Access Google form and you will be contacted via email with your Family Access login information within 3 business days.

12. Will my payment be instantly posted?

13. I see where payments can be made by e-check, but what about credit cards?

Credit card is in parenthesis right under payment by check.

14. What credit cards are accepted?

Visa, MasterCard and Discover.....not American Express

15. How do I know if my transaction is complete?

A statement will appear on the screen that the transaction from the vendor was successful. You will also receive an email confirmation from PaySchools.

16. Who do I contact if I have a question regarding my child's food service account?

Questions regarding elementary students should be directed to the district's Food Service Department at 248-684-8054. Questions regarding middle and high school students should be directed to your child's school cafeteria manager.

17. I do not know my child's food service keypad number? Where can I find it?
